How do I place an order?
You can place an order by either emailing me or using the contact form. We'll then chat through your requirements, ideas, colour scheme etc. to plan your perfectly unique custom product. I will happily advise you on colour combinations, materials, hardware options etc. You can leave me as much or as little creative freedom as you like.
How can I find out prices?
Prices are also listed on all the product pages. As my items are all custom made to order, prices vary a little bit based on the exact specifications you want. It's easiest to just contact me for a quote. I also offer discounts for multiple purchases. UK shipping is free for orders of £20+.
Payment and Returns
PayPal is the default payment option, but if you are not a PayPal user, you can also pay by UK bank transfer or I can generate a non-PayPal card payment link for you through iZettle - this is just as secure as PayPal . Simply let me know your preferred way to pay when you place your order.
I can take deposits on larger orders to allow you to spread the cost. Work will only commence once the full balance has been paid, but this way I can ringfence time in my calendar for your item(s) and order any materials required, so that your order won't be subject to the normal lengthy turnaround times.
I cannot accept returns on personalised items unless they are faulty. Before you place your order, please ensure that any measurements you provide are correct. Collars cannot easily be altered. If you have ordered a lead that is too long, I can shorten your lead for the cost of insured postage (usually £5). Please get in touch with me if there is anything about your item that you are unhappy with. Repairs on Biothane parts are possible and are normally free of charge aside from postage costs. I pride myself in being a helpful and approachable person and will always do my best to resolve any issues. I post fully insured only, so items lost in transit will of course be refunded.

Shipping
UK shipping costs are included for orders of £20+. EU shipping is usually between £8 and £15. I do ship worldwide, but shipping is expensive outside of the EU (£15-25 depending on weight). For domestic shipping I use Royal Mail for smaller orders and either Hermes or Collect+ for larger orders. I can give you a quote in US-Dollars or Euros and I can also invoice you in these currencies through PayPal.
Turnaround Time
Collars, leads, and accessories will generally be finished and sent out within 14-21 calendar days, sometimes a bit quicker than that. Larger items like bridles, headcollars, breastplates or larger combined orders will generally be finished within no more than four weeks. Completion time depends on how busy I am with orders and the day job, whether all materials are in stock or whether anything needs to be ordered in. You will always be told how long your order will take when you place it and I have an excellent track record of sticking to ETAs quoted. You will kept updated on the progress of your order and sent a picture of your finished product(s) before they go in the post.
Measuring
How to measure for a dog collar.
1) Please measure your dog while he or she is standing.
2) Measure your dog's neck tightly but not too tight, in the place where they wear their current collar. Two fingers should just about fit between measuring tape and the dog's neck on a medium-large dog, one finger on a small dog.
3) Send me the measurement in either centimetres or inches.
4) For martingale/half check collars only: For these you will want a second tight measurement of the neck circumference at the slimmest part of the dog's neck right behind the ears. It also helps if you can provide a measurement for the widest part of your dog's head, especially if head and neck measurements are very different.
5) For necklace style tag collars, I will need the widest head measurement (normally just before the ears).
Accurate measurements are essential for me to create a collar that will fit your dog perfectly. You can also measure an existing collar that fits well. Measure the collar with measuring tape on the inside (!), whilst it is closed (the flat measurement will not be the same). This is a bit fiddly in comparison to just measuring your dog's neck.

Colour Charts
I stock over 350 colours of Paracord 550 (Type III) and over 100 colours of Paracord 95 (Type I). Colour charts for both types of Paracord as well as Biothane can be found here. They may not show every colour I offer just yet as my range is expanding on a monthly basis and I don't always get to update the website straight away. You don't need to choose an exact colour combination by yourself. You can always just get in touch with colour ideas and I will take pictures of possible combinations for you until we find the one that's perfect for you.
What is Paracord?
Paracord (short for 'parachute cord') is a lightweight nylon kernmantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of parachutes. Paracord has many applications and is often used as a general purpose utility cord by both military personnel and civilians.
Paracord 550 or 'Type 3' is the most common type of paracord and is what I use for the vast majority of my collars, leads, and horsetack. The 550 refers to the breakload, which is an amazing 550lbs per strand. I also work with paracord 95 or 'Type 1' paracord, as this is the most suitable type for small dog collars. Type 1 cord has a breakload of 95lbs per strand, so is still very sturdy, especially if you consider that most of my collars use 8-12 strands per weave. 'Type 2' cord (Paracord 425) does exist, but don't use it much and don't tend to keep it in stock.
Type 3 paracord comes in an absolutely massive range of colours. The colour range for type 1 is a bit smaller but still impressive. Unfortunately the colour range that is available in the UK is quite limited, therefore I tend to import my stock from Germany and the Netherlands.
About 90% of the cord I use is 100% Nylon US-made cord. A handful of colours (such as rainbow or glow in the dark) only exist with a polyester outer sheath, but these still have nylon inner strands and exactly the same breakload as all-nylon paracord.
Paracord is brilliant for dog collars, leads, and horsetack due to its strength and durability. It also looks cool, of course.

Product Care
Paracord products wash *really* well. My paracord products are machine washable. I recommend washing them at 30C in a delicates bag and together with some towels to protect any hardware. A couple of colour catcher sheets are available for the first few washes to avoid darker colours bleeding into lighter ones.

Hardware Options
For dog collars you can choose between high quality aluminium side-release buckles, adjustable Biothane adapters, and several martingale options. Hardware is available in four colours: silver, gold, rose gold, and matte black. Side release buckles and biothane adapters come in three sizes, 16mm, 20mm, and 25mm. I will advise on the right size for your dog based on the measurements you provide.
